My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.

No Jeremy, it is not true that Dimon had bad money management with PYPL…here is where Your understanding lacks: When You buy a stock You need to know 4things…1 what to buy, 2 when to buy, 3 how much to buy, 4 have a plan of when to sell …You definitely have a lack of understanding of “when to buy” and follow the momentum of the stock (as You proved these past years of desperation holding to bad companies) YOU ALWAYS want to have the money working for You, there is no point to hold to a stock for 5 years and at year 5 having the stock 10x…the previews 4 years You could have used the money in a more efficient way…it is NOT matter of trying to pick the bottom and in fact there is nothing wrong to be selling a stock and buying it shortly after at higher price because in the mean time You used the money for something else! Like when You bought DIS and hold it for a month or so, then when the momentum was picking up at the end of last year You could have bought it back at higher price because clearly the momentum was picking up. But I understand that this is more advance investing and You clearly are still at the basic level, no offense!

Jeremy You are 100% wrong about margine: -if You are a professional trader (position trader, swing, day, etc…) with good money management You should ALWAYS be on margin because Your max risk is always 100% calculated. -if You are an investor (by definition) You should NEVER be in margin because by definition if You like a company at 10$ and the stock temporarily goes to 1$ due to bad sentiment then You should be buying the positions that You were saving for this circumstance and NOT receiving margin calls with potential to have to close Your position You seems a bit confused on this topic
